Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, says he is confident that voters will elect him governor in the August 15 governorship election.
Speaking in Osogbo on Sunday during a meeting with leaders and members of the Association of Mobile Telecommunication Engineers of Nigeria, Oyebamiji said he was optimistic that the APC would defeat incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke and return the state to what he described as the progressive path.
The APC candidate, who was represented by Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, said the election would mark a turning point for the state.
“History will be made on August 15 as I will be elected governor of the state,” he said. “Osun will return to the progressive path, and I count on you to make that happen.”
Oyebamiji said governance is a serious responsibility and pledged to focus on policies aimed at improving living standards across the state. According to him, his administration would prioritise economic security, healthcare, education and social protection, while expanding safety nets to reduce poverty.

He also promised to create opportunities for economic growth by supporting small businesses and helping larger enterprises expand through improved funding, infrastructure and capacity-building initiatives.
Addressing members of the telecommunications engineers’ association, Oyebamiji said his administration would work closely with the sector, describing mobile telecommunications as a critical driver of business and economic development.
