The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has inaugurated its campaign committees ahead of the August 15, 2026, governorship election, marking the formal start of its political mobilisation in the state.
The committees, covering mobilisation, media and publicity, finance, security and strategy, and contact and engagement, were unveiled in Osogbo on Wednesday as part of efforts to coordinate the party’s campaign structure across all levels.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of the Campaign Council, Oluwole Oke, said the inauguration signals the beginning of a “strategic, disciplined and people-driven campaign” aimed at securing victory for the party.
Mr Oke, who represents Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, charged members of the various committees to execute their responsibilities with precision, urging the mobilisation team to energise grassroots support, while the media unit was tasked with shaping and controlling the campaign narrative.

He also stressed the importance of financial transparency, effective security coordination, and direct engagement with voters across communities, noting that each committee plays a critical role in the overall success of the campaign.
“We must organise, mobilise and communicate our message effectively across every ward, every polling unit and every community in Osun,” he said, adding that the campaign must remain issue-based and focused on the needs of the people.

The APC candidate, Munirudeen Oyebamiji, was described as a candidate with the competence and experience to lead the state, as party leaders called for unity and discipline among members.
With the inauguration, the APC is positioning itself early in the race, setting up its campaign machinery months ahead of what is expected to be a closely watched governorship contest in the state.
