Peter Mbah has commended China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) for what he described as the fast and high quality delivery of major infrastructure projects across Enugu State.
The governor gave the commendation on Sunday during an inspection tour of several ongoing projects that are expected to be inaugurated in the coming weeks.
Among the projects visited were the 40 kilometre Owo Ubahu Amankanu Umualor Neke Ikem dual carriageway, the 14.5 kilometre Amechi Idodo Oruku Amagunze Road, the New Enugu Smart City and the Enugu International Hospital.
Speaking during the inspection of the Owo Ubahu Ikem road corridor, Mbah said he was satisfied with the pace and quality of work being carried out by the contractors.
He explained that the state government gave contractors a strict deadline to complete the project by the end of May and deployed adequate funding to ensure that work progressed without delay.
According to him, the construction company mobilised several teams that worked both day and night in order to meet the target and avoid penalties for any delay.

The governor said the road is strategically important because it will connect Enugu more directly to northern Nigeria and other major commercial routes, including the North Central region and Abuja.
He noted that the project is expected to boost agriculture, trade and other economic activities in communities located along the corridor.
Mbah said the broader goal of his administration is to transform Enugu into a leading destination for business, tourism and investment while improving the quality of life for residents.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to expanding road infrastructure in rural communities across the state.
Other major projects mentioned by the governor include the Enugu Ugwogo Nike Opi Nsukka dual carriageway, the Ama Eke Oghe Iwolo Olo Umulokpa Road and a 52.2 kilometre road linking several towns.
At the Amechi Idodo Oruku Amagunze Road, Mbah disclosed plans to extend the route to the headquarters of Nkanu East Local Government Area.
He also praised progress at the New Enugu Smart City, where a 6.5 kilometre dual carriageway has already been completed.
The governor said these projects are central to his administration’s plan to open up communities, attract investment and stimulate long term economic growth across the state.
