Lizzy Anjorin accepts ₦10m boxing challenge against Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has agreed to a long-standing boxing challenge involving fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, bringing fresh attention to their ongoing feud.

Anjorin made her decision public in an Instagram post on Sunday, confirming she was ready to step into the ring years after show promoter Paulo Okoye first introduced the idea. The proposed match comes with a ₦10 million prize for the winner.

However, Anjorin added a new twist to the challenge. She said Paulo must first face her husband, Lawal, in a 10-round boxing match before she fights Ojo the following day.

Beyond accepting the challenge, the actress also intensified the rivalry by calling on both Paulo and Ojo to publicly show proof of their wealth and achievements, further escalating tensions between the parties.

The development is the latest chapter in a long-running dispute between Anjorin and Ojo, which has played out across social media, in courtrooms, and through public exchanges over the years. What began as a mix of personal and professional disagreements has grown into a prolonged conflict marked by accusations and counter-accusations.

In 2025, the feud took a legal turn when Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit against Anjorin. Although the case was later struck out on procedural grounds, Ojo indicated she may pursue further legal action.

The renewed boxing challenge also reflects a growing trend of celebrity fight events in Nigeria’s entertainment scene. These matches have gained popularity in recent years, drawing attention from fans and generating online buzz.
