Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has spoken on the reported rift between her colleagues Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, saying she made personal efforts to reconcile both parties and restore peace between them.

In a post shared on Tuesday, Ojo said she had maintained a long-standing relationship with Akindele and admitted that past disagreements between them had already been resolved.

She also acknowledged that she previously criticised Akindele publicly over an issue involving Abraham’s film, describing it as a “wrong move” that should have been handled privately.

According to Ojo, she later stepped in to mediate between both actresses, saying she “cried, knelt, begged both parties to embrace peace,” and eventually succeeded in getting them to agree to keep future disagreements off social media.

She explained that the understanding appeared to hold after a public interaction at a movie premiere, which many fans interpreted as a reconciliation.

However, she said tensions resurfaced in December after Abraham raised concerns about her movie’s performance in cinemas, alleging possible sabotage, a situation that again triggered online speculation and renewed division among fans.

Ojo also addressed claims around Abraham’s involvement in her film The Return of Arinzo, explaining that the actress was initially expected to feature in the project but pulled out due to exhaustion and travel plans, forcing last-minute script adjustments.

She added that although efforts were made to resolve the misunderstandings, she would no longer intervene in their disputes, stating that “the sky is big enough for all” and urging both actresses to settle issues privately.
