The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kaduna State has deployed a total of 1,934 personnel for special patrol operations ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, aimed at reducing road crashes and ensuring smoother traffic flow across major highways.
According to a statement issued in Kaduna by Public Enlightenment Officer Route Commander Usman Garba, the operation is designed to improve safety on key corridors through increased patrol visibility, rapid emergency response, and sustained public sensitisation.
The deployment includes 1,462 regular marshals and 472 special marshals, supported by 25 patrol vehicles, eight ambulances, two heavy-duty tow trucks, one tow truck carrier, and five motorcycles positioned at strategic locations across the state.

The command also announced that roadside clinics have been activated and stocked with medical supplies to provide immediate assistance to crash victims during the festive period.
Officials warned motorists to avoid speeding, dangerous overtaking, overloading, phone use while driving, and other traffic violations that could lead to avoidable accidents.
Sector Commander CC Andrew Longkam urged road users to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy before embarking on journeys and to cooperate fully with traffic officials throughout the festive season.
The statement further noted that the operation would involve collaboration with sister security and emergency response agencies to ensure prompt rescue services and quick clearance of obstructions on highways.
Members of the public were encouraged to report emergencies through the FRSC toll-free number 122, as authorities appealed for patience and compliance with traffic rules during the Eid-el-Kabir period.
