Some stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State have written to President Bola Tinubu, calling for intervention over alleged irregularities in the party’s direct primaries in the state.
The group, operating under the Ekiti Network of Asiwaju Youths (ENAYo), alleged that the exercise was marred by widespread malpractice, particularly in Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, which covers Ido-Osi, Ilejemeje, and Moba local government areas.
In an open letter addressed to the President and the APC national leadership, the stakeholders claimed that in several wards, no elections were held, yet results were still allegedly declared.
They also accused some party actors of “writing results” in areas where voting did not take place, describing the process as undemocratic and a threat to internal party unity.

According to the group, returning officers allegedly ignored genuine ward-level outcomes in some areas and announced different results at the state level.
They specifically listed several wards, including Usi ward, Ifaki wards 1 and 2, Ilogbo ward, Otun wards 1 and 2, and Igogo ward 1, where they claimed no voting occurred despite being considered strongholds of a sitting federal lawmaker.

The stakeholders warned that unresolved disputes from the primaries could damage the party’s chances in the general elections if not urgently addressed.
They urged President Tinubu and the APC national leadership to intervene and restore confidence in the party’s internal democratic process.
The petition was signed by AbdulRaman Agboola, coordinator of the group, and Daniel Fatoriji, secretary.
