The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the third and final phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will begin nationwide on May 11, as preparations intensify ahead of future elections.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the chairman of the commission’s Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Haruna, said the exercise will run until July 10.
He urged Nigerians who have reached the age of 18, as well as those who missed earlier phases, to take advantage of the window to register and participate in the electoral process.
Haruna also encouraged already registered voters seeking to update their details to use INEC’s online portal for services such as transfer of registration, replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), and correction of personal information.

In addition, he said PVCs would be available for collection at INEC offices across states and local government areas.
As part of the process, the commission will display the voter register for public scrutiny between July 23 and July 29, allowing citizens to raise claims and objections to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the database.
