The crash took place near Helsinki, in the Uusimaa region, during a routine training exercise involving two civilian helicopters operated by a private aviation company. Preliminary reports indicate that the helicopters, each carrying a pilot and trainees, collided at low altitude, possibly due to a miscommunication or navigational error. Emergency services responded swiftly, but the wreckage, scattered across a forested area, confirmed no survivors. Authorities have not disclosed the exact number of casualties, citing ongoing family notifications, but local officials confirmed “several fatalities,” with estimates suggesting up to eight victims.
