Paris Saint-Germain F.C. secured a fifth consecutive Ligue 1 title after defeating RC Lens 2-0 away from home, sealing the championship with one match left in the season.
The win extended PSG’s dominance of French football and delivered the club’s 14th league crown, further strengthening its record as the most successful team in Ligue 1 history.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the 29th minute after connecting with a pass from Ousmane Dembélé. Teenage substitute Ibrahim Mbaye added a second goal deep into stoppage time to confirm the victory at Stade Bollaert-Delelis.
The result lifted PSG to 76 points, nine clear of second-placed Lens on 67 points, making it mathematically impossible for their closest rivals to catch them.
Despite travelling with a depleted squad because of injuries to several key players, PSG produced a disciplined performance. Goalkeeper Matvey Safonov played a crucial role, making several important saves to deny Lens forwards Wesley Saïd and Abdallah Sima. Defender Illia Zabarnyi also cleared a header from Adrien Thomasson off the line early in the match.

Lens continued to push for an equaliser, with Sima striking the post in the second half, but PSG held firm before Mbaye’s late strike put the result beyond doubt.
The newly crowned champions will conclude their league campaign against Paris FC before shifting focus to the UEFA Champions League Final against Arsenal F.C. in Budapest on May 30.
Lens, already assured of second place and qualification for next season’s Champions League, will finish their Ligue 1 campaign against Olympique Lyonnais before meeting OGC Nice in the Coupe de France Final on May 22.
