Nollywood actress Orisabunmi died at 60

Yoruba Nollywood industry mourns the death of one the legend actress, Folake Aremu popularly known as Orisabunmi who died at the age of 60.

According to reports, just four months ago Orisabunmi lost her husband, Jimoh Aliu better known as Aworo to the cold hands of death.

The actress was born in Kwara State and known for her major character of Traditional consultant of Mermaid God in Yoruba movies.

Orisabunmi’s death was confirmed on Tuesday by the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan aka Mr Latin.

She first came to limelight in the 80s with the TV series ‘Arelu’ starring her ex-husband and others like Fadeyi Oloro. Afterwards, she features in many other notable projects like “Agbaarin”, “Yanponyanrin” , Oluwerimagboojo”, “Ayanmo Eda”,“Iya Alakara”. amongst others.
