Former Big Brother Naija housemates Kola and Dede have revisited their post-show relationship, with Dede accusing Kola of repeatedly referring to her as “this person” during interviews despite their efforts to resolve past differences.
The issue resurfaced during a conversation moderated by BBNaija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, where Dede expressed disappointment over Kola’s public comments, saying they contradicted the cordial interactions they had shared after leaving the reality show.
According to Dede, the pair had met and spoken on multiple occasions following the show, including at birthday celebrations hosted by fellow reality stars Beauty and Tacha. She said the conversations gave her the impression that they had moved past the controversy that surrounded them during and after their time in the BBNaija house.
“We had normal conversations and settled things like adults,” Dede said. “So it didn’t make sense to me that whenever the cameras were rolling, I became ‘this person’ again.”
Dede claimed that she had previously raised the issue directly with Kola, questioning why he avoided mentioning her name publicly while maintaining friendly interactions in private.
She also alleged that Kola invited her to his home during one of their post-show conversations, describing the gesture as evidence that they were on good terms.
Responding to the claims, Kola denied inviting Dede to his home and insisted he bears no resentment towards her.
The reality TV star explained that some of the comments being referenced were made during media appearances before certain post-show conversations took place.
“I really do not have any issue with her,” Kola said. “A lot of things were happening outside the house, and many of them were blown out of proportion.”
Kola described the situation as one of the defining storylines of their BBNaija season, noting that discussions surrounding the controversy continued long after the show ended.
While declining to revisit details of the fallout, he said he wished Dede well and had no interest in prolonging the dispute.
The exchange has sparked fresh reactions among BBNaija fans, with viewers taking to social media to debate the differing accounts provided by the former housemates.
While some fans believe the pair had genuinely moved on from the controversy, others questioned why conflicting narratives about their relationship continue to emerge.
Although both Kola and Dede insist they have no personal issues with one another, their latest exchange has reopened conversations about one of the most talked-about dynamics from their BBNaija season, leaving fans wondering whether the matter has truly been laid to rest.
