Afrobeats sensation Rema continues to redefine the genre with his latest single, “Bout U,” released on April 9, 2025, a soulful blend of nostalgia and modern flair that’s already captivating listeners worldwide.

The 24-year-old, born Divine Ikubor, channels early 2000s R&B influences—think Aaliyah and Craig David—while infusing his signature Afro-fusion sound, creating a love anthem that feels both timeless and cutting-edge. Produced by London, “Bout U” pairs dreamy synths with crisp highlife guitar riffs, its lyrics a heartfelt ode to devotion: “Girl, it’s all ‘bout you, no one else in view.”

The single arrives as Rema, signed to Mavin Records and Jonzing World, cements his status as Afrobeats’ leading light. His 2024 sophomore album HEIS earned a Billboard 200 top 10 spot, and collaborations with Drake and Selena Gomez have widened his reach.
