The Nigerian Police have arrested three individuals suspected of being involved in an attack on members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Edo State.

The attack, which occurred during a student demonstration, left several NANS members injured and raised concerns over the safety of student activists in the country.

According to police reports, the suspects were apprehended following an investigation into the incident. Authorities revealed that the attack was carried out by individuals believed to be working for undisclosed interests seeking to suppress student activism.

The NANS leadership has condemned the attack, calling for justice and urging law enforcement agencies to ensure that those responsible face the full wrath of the law. They have also demanded stronger security measures to protect students who engage in peaceful protests.
