Calls for Better Security Intensify Following Release of Afenifere Youth Leader

 A civil society group has called on the government to strengthen security measures following the release of an Afenifere youth leader who was recently kidnapped. 

The Afenifere Youth leader, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, was abducted in what appeared to be a targeted attack, sparking widespread concern over rising insecurity in the country.

The group, while expressing relief over his safe return, criticized the government’s slow response to the crisis and urged authorities to implement stronger security frameworks to prevent further incidents.

The rising cases of kidnappings have reignited debates on the effectiveness of Nigeria’s security agencies, with many citizens demanding better policing strategies and intelligence-gathering to curb criminal activities.
