 Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has categorically denied allegations that he received financial contributions from Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to support his 2023 presidential election campaign. In a statement released by his media office, Atiku emphasized that he has never met Governor Sanwo-Olu and has no personal or financial relationship with him. ​

The allegations surfaced in certain media outlets, suggesting that Atiku’s campaign benefited from Lagos State funds through intermediaries. Atiku described these claims as baseless and a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation.
