APC Secures Landslide Victory in Katsina Local Government Elections

 In a decisive political triumph, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has clinched all chairmanship and councillorship positions in the recent Katsina State local government elections. The elections, conducted on Saturday, witnessed a significant voter turnout across the state’s 34 local government areas.

The Katsina State Independent Electoral Commission (KTSIEC) announced the comprehensive victory of the APC, attributing the success to the party’s robust grassroots mobilization and the electorate’s confidence in its leadership. KTSIEC Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bako, commended the peaceful conduct of the elections and lauded security agencies for ensuring a conducive environment.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari expressed gratitude to the people of Katsina for their unwavering support and trust in the APC. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering on campaign promises and fostering development at the local government level.

However, opposition parties have raised concerns about the fairness of the electoral process. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) alleged irregularities and voter intimidation in certain areas, calling for a thorough investigation. In response, KTSIEC has urged any aggrieved parties to present concrete evidence and assured that all complaints would be addressed in accordance with the law.
