Idia Aisien, the Nigerian-American actress, has revealed details about difficult experiences in some of her past relationships, including financially supporting partners who later betrayed her.
The actress shared the experience during an appearance on Toke’s Moment, a talk show hosted by Toke Makinwa, where she discussed love, trust, and lessons she learned from previous relationships.
Aisien said that earlier in her dating life, she believed supporting a partner financially during challenging periods would strengthen the relationship and build loyalty in the future.
According to her, she sometimes gave significant financial help to partners who claimed they were struggling with business or investment challenges.
However, she later discovered that one of the men she supported had used the money in a way that betrayed her trust.
Aisien explained that she once gave a former partner money to help support his business after he told her his investment plans were facing difficulties.
At the time, she said she believed offering support would help them grow together, particularly because she was dating with the intention of building a long-term relationship.
She said the situation later became suspicious when the man suddenly became unreachable for a period of time.
According to the actress, she later learned that the same man had travelled abroad with another woman.

Aisien revealed that one of her brothers eventually saw the man with the woman and provided photographic evidence of the trip.
When she confronted the man about the situation, she said he initially denied the allegation and offered different explanations for the trip.

The actress said the incident left her disappointed and forced her to reconsider how much financial support she should provide in romantic relationships.
Despite the personal experiences she shared, Aisien continues to build her career in the Nigerian film industry.
She began acting in 2017 and gained wider recognition after starring in the 2020 remake of the Nollywood film Nneka: The Pretty Serpent.

The project helped establish her presence in the industry and introduced her to a wider audience across Nigeria and beyond.
Aisien has since appeared in several productions while also maintaining a career in television presenting and media.
Her recent interview has sparked conversations online about financial boundaries in relationships and the expectations partners place on each other during difficult times.
