President Bola Tinubu has appointed Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna State, as Renewed Hope Ambassador and deputy director-general for outreach, engagement, and mobilization of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general election.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who said the decision takes immediate effect.
According to the presidency, Sani’s appointment is part of broader preparations to strengthen the ruling party’s grassroots mobilisation and national outreach strategy ahead of the next election cycle.
Onanuga said Sani would work closely with the director-general of the Renewed Hope Ambassador programme, as well as the national leadership of the APC, particularly the party’s national chairman, to ensure coordinated engagement efforts.
He explained that the core objective of the appointment is to expand public awareness and support for the APC and its candidates at all levels.

“The overall objective of your appointment is to ensure that the entire citizenry is aware of, understands, and ultimately supports our party and its candidates at all levels for broad national acceptance in the 2027 election,” the statement said.
The presidency noted that Sani’s leadership and organisational experience were key factors behind his selection for the strategic role.
As part of his responsibilities, the Kaduna governor is expected to oversee nationwide mobilisation initiatives and strengthen communication between the party and citizens.
His role will include promoting the APC’s programmes, policies, and achievements under the Renewed Hope agenda, while also coordinating outreach activities across different regions and stakeholder groups.
The statement added that Sani would be tasked with ensuring inclusiveness, harmony, and strategic alignment within the party’s mobilization structure to enhance its political strength ahead of 2027.
He is also expected to help build public trust and reinforce confidence in the administration’s policies by effectively communicating government milestones and development initiatives.

The appointment comes as political parties begin early preparations for the 2027 general election, with mobilisation, messaging, and voter engagement expected to play a decisive role in shaping the political landscape.
Sani, who currently serves as Kaduna State governor, is regarded as a key political figure within the APC and is expected to play a central role in advancing the party’s electoral strategy and strengthening its nationwide support base.
