The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum has called on members nationwide to remain calm as the Court of Appeal in Abuja prepares to deliver judgment on multiple appeals filed by the party.
The ruling, expected on Monday, is seen as a landmark decision that could shape the party’s trajectory ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The forum includes Governors Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, and Mohammed Lawal of Zamfara State.
The PDP Governors’ Forum has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to respect the judicial process, emphasizing the importance of fairness, impartiality, and the preservation of national stability. Party leaders stressed that whatever the outcome, members are expected to respond with maturity and discipline.
The party is currently experiencing an internal leadership crisis that has forced it to abandon the recent Area Council elections in the Federal Capital Territory. Operations have also been disrupted at its traditional headquarters at Wadata Plaza and Legacy House in Abuja.

Nine cases regarding the conduct of the November national convention in Ibadan, the legitimacy of the current National Working Committee, and other internal disputes are set to be resolved by the Court of Appeal.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the PDP-GF assured aspirants that the party would continue to protect political ambitions and maintain a credible platform for competition.
The forum highlighted that democracy thrives on diverse voices and that the PDP remains committed to providing Nigerians with a strong, people-centered alternative.
