
The Nigeria Police Force in Ogun State has released TikToker Abigeal “Mirabel” Nsikak to the state Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development following a rape allegation she made online.
Police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi said the decision was taken to ensure her welfare and support needs are properly addressed while investigations continue. The ministry has now assumed responsibility for her care and assured authorities that she will remain available when needed.

Mirabel had earlier reported being sexually assaulted in her apartment, but later admitted the allegation was false.
Police said Mirabel was taken for medical examination after reporting to the station and has continued cooperating with investigators. Authorities urged the public to avoid speculation and allow due process, assuring that the case is being handled with professionalism and sensitivity.
