The initial statement, posted on her Instagram page, alleged that Mitchy had passed away at a hospital in Abuja and appealed for privacy for her family. The announcement quickly spread across social media, triggering widespread concern among her followers and the wider online community.

Mitchy had earlier spoken about renovating a school and raised questions about the handling of public donations by the activist. In response, allegations surfaced online claiming that Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s president, was backing her projects, further intensifying online debates.
