The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence that his administration’s achievements and leadership style will ensure his re-election in the August 15 governorship poll.
Speaking on Wednesday while hosting members of the state chapter of the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria at the Government House in Osogbo, Adeleke highlighted his administration’s record in education, health, agriculture, sports, and economic development as justification for his bid.
“When the opposition asked whether I deserve to be re-elected, I told them yes, based on my performance in this first term in office,” Adeleke said.

He emphasized his commitment to due process, equitable infrastructure distribution, merit-based teachers’ recruitment, and prudent financial management.
Adeleke outlined a five-point agenda for his re-election campaign, focusing on youth, women, and workers’ welfare; infrastructure consolidation; agro-industrial expansion; affordable healthcare; improved education access; and a secure business environment to stimulate job creation.
The governor also sought the society’s prayers for a free and fair election, stating, “Today marks the starting point of campaigning for the governorship election. We need your prayers and support for a free and fair election through which the will of the people will prevail.”

Hafiz Akande, Secretary of the society in the state, commended Adeleke for his performance and appealed for support in constructing a mosque affected by a road dualisation project in Iwo town.
