 Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage recently shared her perspective on the romantic shortcomings of Nigerian men during an interview on a UK-based platform, Thoughts in a Culli, hosted by GRM Daily. The 45-year-old singer, known for her chart-topping hits and global influence, described Nigerian men as “swaggalicious,” highlighting their confidence, style, and tendency to spend generously. 

However, she expressed disappointment in their lack of emotional depth when it comes to romance, stating that they often prioritize material displays over meaningful connections. Savage emphasized that while Nigerian men are charming and financially supportive, she seeks a partner who offers a deeper, more emotionally fulfilling relationship.

Savage’s comments stem from her personal experiences and observations in the dating scene, both in Nigeria and abroad. She noted that her standards for romance are shaped by her desire for genuine affection and thoughtfulness, qualities she feels are often absent in her interactions with Nigerian men.
