United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) has announced its admission into the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Clearing House (ICH), a global financial settlement system used by airlines to manage interline transactions.
The airline disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Lagos by its Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka.
According to the statement, the airline officially joined the network on February 1, enabling it to settle interline billings covering both passenger and cargo transactions through the centralized platform.
The airline said the development aligns with its commitment to international best practices and improved operational transparency.
It explained that membership of the ICH would allow it to handle financial settlements with partner airlines more efficiently while laying the groundwork for future interline and codeshare partnerships.
“This admission reinforces our commitment to international best practices and operational transparency,” the airline said.

“While ICH membership facilitates seamless financial settlement between carriers, it serves as the foundation for our broader strategy to establish interline and codeshare partnerships.”
The airline added that the milestone supports its broader strategy to expand connectivity and strengthen its presence across regional and international markets.
According to the statement, the development will create opportunities for interline and codeshare partnerships with international carriers while improving operational efficiency.
