Ondo governor appoints 32 new permanent secretaries

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as permanent secretaries in the state civil service.

The appointments were announced on Monday in a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, and shared on the state government’s official X account.

Among the appointees are Mrs. Tayo Ogundare, Mrs. Morayo Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Mrs. Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile, Stephen Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Mrs. Oluwakemi Akinyemi, and Bamidele Daisi.

Others include Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Mrs. Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Mrs. Oluseyi Odusola, Mrs. Funke Adelayi, Dr. Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr. Mrs. Abike Ilawole, Tpl. Abimbola Tofowomo, and Kolawole Kayode.

Additional appointees are Dr. Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Akinbola, Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Surv. Idowu Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Mrs. Toyin Awotoye, and Ayodeji Ayeku.

Statutory positions confirmed

The governor also confirmed Olusola Sunday Ajayi as Statistician-General and Dr. Charles Tunde Ojuolape as Auditor-General for Local Governments, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

According to the statement, the appointments take effect from February 1, 2026, while the swearing-in ceremony will be held on a later date.

The latest appointments are part of the governor’s efforts to strengthen the state civil service and improve service delivery, following earlier rounds of promotions and administrative reforms.
