Manchester City boosted their Premier League title hopes with a commanding 3-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, narrowing the gap on leaders Arsenal to six points.
After a quiet first half, City came alive in the second period, breaking the deadlock six minutes after the restart through Nico O’Reilly, who headed home a precise cross from Rayan Cherki.
The visitors doubled their advantage shortly after, with Marc Guehi finishing another delivery from Cherki to put City firmly in control of the contest.
Jeremy Doku sealed the win in the 68th minute, driving into the box before calmly slotting past goalkeeper Robert Sánchez to cap a dominant display.
The result takes City to 64 points, leaving Pep Guardiola’s side with a game in hand and a crucial opportunity to close the gap further when they face Arsenal next week.
Victory in that encounter could see City draw level on points with the league leaders, provided they also win their outstanding fixture against Crystal Palace.
Speaking after the match, Doku expressed confidence that City would remain firmly in the title race despite trailing Arsenal.
“If you win this game, it’s a big punch towards them. If you lose, it’s in their hands. If we win, it’s in our hands, and I prefer that,” he said.

The Belgian forward added that belief within the squad remains strong as they prepare for a defining stretch in the title race.
“I would be crazy if I didn’t believe we can win the Premier League. The race is still on. We’ll recover well and look forward to the Arsenal game,” Doku added.
The win sets up a high-stakes clash between the two title contenders, with the outcome likely to play a decisive role in shaping the final weeks of the Premier League season.
