Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has allegedly directed his supporters to abduct a comedian, “Funny Thinker,” and another individual over comments made in support of opposition candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Ibadan-based skit maker had, in a viral video, criticised Igboho’s warning against opposition figures campaigning in the South-West, describing the remarks as undemocratic.
In the video, he argued that political candidates should be allowed to campaign freely and warned against what he described as attempts to intimidate opposition voices in the region.
In a leaked audio shared online, Igboho was alleged to have instructed a loyalist to bring the comedian and another person to his residence within 24 hours, warning of unspecified consequences if the directive was not carried out.
However, Igboho’s aide, Olayomi Koiki, dismissed the claim, describing it as fake news.

Following the development, the Oyo State Police Command said it would work with other security agencies to ensure safety before, during, and after the 2027 election period.
Police spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, said security agencies would remain alert to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
