Governor Nasir El-Rufai Accuses Federal Government of Orchestrating Crises in Opposition Parties

 Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has accused the Federal Government of deliberately instigating internal crises within opposition political parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party.

In a recent statement, El-Rufai asserted that the turmoil currently plaguing the PDP and other opposition factions is not coincidental but rather a calculated effort funded and orchestrated by the ruling administration. He emphasized that such tactics undermine the principles of democracy and pose a threat to the nation’s political stability.

The former governor’s allegations come amid observable internal conflicts within the PDP, marked by defections and leadership disputes. Notably, the recent departure of Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the former PDP gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, has raised questions about the party’s cohesion and resilience.

El-Rufai’s remarks have elicited varied reactions from political stakeholders and analysts. Some view his assertions as a call to safeguard democratic integrity, while others perceive them as political maneuvering ahead of forthcoming elections.
