British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has unveiled his debut art collection, drawing inspiration from the abstract expressionism of Jackson Pollock, in an exhibition launched on July 9, 2025, at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

The collection, titled Drip by Drip, features 15 large-scale canvases created over two years, showcasing Sheeran’s experimentation with drip painting techniques reminiscent of Pollock’s chaotic, colorful style. The 34-year-old artist, known for hits like Shape of You, described the project as a personal exploration of emotion through visual art, blending his musical creativity with a new medium.

The exhibition, which runs until September 15, 2025, includes works using acrylics and household paints, with titles like Melody in Motion reflecting Sheeran’s synesthetic approach, where he associates colors with musical notes. Art critics have noted the collection’s bold energy, though some question its originality given Pollock’s influence, with prices ranging from £50,000 to £250,000 per piece.

Sheeran, who began painting during the 2020 lockdown, collaborated with art therapist Emma Bridgewater to refine his technique. The launch drew 300 attendees, including celebrities and collectors, with proceeds partially funding mental health charities. The event marks a significant pivot in Sheeran’s career, sparking debates about celebrity art ventures.
