Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and his wife, Cynthia, marked a decade of marriage in the most romantic way possible, with a surprise re-proposal in the heart of Vatican City that stopped passersby in their tracks.
The TV host shared photos and videos of the moment on Instagram, showing him dropping to one knee to present a ring while tourists and worshippers nearby erupted into cheers. The proposal happened after the couple attended mass at St Peter’s Basilica during their anniversary getaway to Rome.
Ebuka said the day was carefully planned, from the proposal itself to dinner later that evening, describing it as one of the most memorable days of their marriage so far.
He also revealed that beyond the proposal, they received an official 10th anniversary certificate from the Pope, a moment he described as surreal and deeply meaningful.

The post quickly drew reactions from fans and fellow celebrities, many of whom praised the couple for keeping romance alive long after their wedding day.
According to Ebuka, the re-proposal came exactly 10 years after their wedding on February 6, 2016. He said the idea was to recreate the feeling of starting over, this time with more memories, a deeper friendship, and two children added to their journey.
Ebuka has previously shared that he met Cynthia on Twitter and knew within two months that he wanted to marry her. They got engaged in April 2015 before tying the knot the following year.
Now, 10 years on, the couple says they are taking time off to enjoy a quiet vacation, with one more memory added to their love story, and another ring to show for it.
