Nigeria is not a Country by Dr Kenny Odugbemi

Back ground knowledge

Country is a territory land that lies aheàd
Nation -is an association of people cohesively united, not mind thier ethnicity, religious and
language, with common vision, goals with desire to form amalgamation Nation with common shared value,

Nigeria is not a Country, and we do not have true democracy and common shared value just like USA- with share values such as
Life
Liberty
Pursuit of happiness

Constitution through established institution had transfered power, and sovereignty to the State

At the State level,Nations are held together under gun point, hence any attempt to declare Self in power will be held down with treasonable felony typical of MKO Abiola and Nnamdi Kaduna

Under forced Nation hood, not will to cohabit,at gun point ref Over 104 years, regional amagalmation, hence there is need to review our term of engagement

As aforementioned,we now have protest inform of Secession,Separative group

State- referred to President and Governor in power

Condition assessment
We do not have devolution of power due to over concentration at the centre

We are yet to build a Country with share value

1999 Constitution widely disregarded has given power to the State leaving the people in delusion under bondage of fear of gun, held under perpetual captivity at all time this have over the years giving rise to the following
✓IPoB- led by Kanu- *Seccession-
*marginalization
✓Yoruba Nation-Igboho- separationist
✓Arewa consultative forum-
*terrorism and
*Boko Haram
*Kidnappers for ransom
✓Farmer-header (Fulani) clash

This presuppose the deceit of calling Nigeria a Country

My suggestion

Nigerian in quantum are driven by consumerism, where they crave for more at the expense of the others without patience and contentment that can guarantee peace and fulfilment
We all need patience and contentment as Nigerian as these terms are interwoven and adjuctively connected to over come out protracted challenges of inequality, fairness and justice

Solution to our Challenges
Harnessing peace and contentment will enable us to overcome our challenges and obstacle,if we can be calm, persevere and endure for a while

We surely as a matter of urgency build strong bridge of good relationship cutting through all regions with no emphasy on ethnic and religion bigotry, appreciating our cultural diversity and through determination, resilience, agility ,we will achieve more to build what we can regard as a Country

Conclusion

We need to institute a forum to kick start restructuring mode to transform Nigeria as a Country, where there is true democracy, separation and devolution of power
We need restructuring and resources control, where there is a goo measure of devolution of power to the State where people are empowered to contribute thier own quota to development of our Country- in work in progress mode to become a Country called Nigeria
