The week kicked off with the Council Mayor’s continued meetings with stakeholders in various sectors on the need to widen the net for a maximized IGR drive on Monday.
On Tuesday, the free GCE forms data capture for Ibeju Lekki residents and indigenous Students kicked off as the Council Chairman joined well-wishers across the globe to felicitate with the wife of the APC National Leader, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu on her birthday.
Also on Tuesday, the Agency for Mass Education held an awareness program on literacy and adult education in collaboration with the Local Government.
On Wednesday, representatives of Gated Estates in Ibeju Lekki paid a courtesy visit as they were informed of the strategies of the new administration regarding tax generation. Still, on Tuesday, the Council Mayor met with Community stakeholders and EKEDC representatives on electricity challenges in Ibeju Lekki and also proffered solutions.
Earlier on the same day (Wednesday), the Council Mayor was at the program organized by the Lagos State Government to sensitize the people on land grabbing laws of which he was a major speaker at the event.
On Thursday the Lagos State Sports Commission paid a courtesy visit to the Council Chairman where he shared his ideas about sports development in Ibeju Lekki to the representatives of the commission. The same day, the pan traditional group, Ndigbo Community paid a visit to the Council Mayor as they promised maximum cooperation.
On Friday Corp Members serving their fatherland came on a visit to the Council Chairman as well as the student body Federation of Epe Division Students Association (FEDSA).
The same day the Council Chairman toured the Kara market as he met with the market leaders and Community Leaders after which he proceeded to the Primary Health Care at Ibeju on a first-hand assessment of facilities and the welfare of members of staff.
It’s 61 days already in government and we sincerely appreciate the support given so far by the entire Ibeju Lekki indigents and residents.
